Our Primary School pupils were invited to record and send in messages for their mothers on the occasion of Mother’s Day. They did this and these messages were aired on CC Radio on Monday 11 May. It was heart-warming to hear how much these pupils, some very young, appreciate and love their Moms!
Our High School teachers started teaching today. Last week they established contact with their pupils and had some practice runs (some hilarious!) and then after a virtual staff meeting earlier this morning, they started engaging seriously with their classes. Meanwhile the school grounds rest and recover in time for when everyone is back at school…….
The Pre-Primary, Primary and High School teachers have spent their school holiday getting to terms with teaching online as South Africa enters its second week of lock-down. This annual event took place on 25 February. Cannons Creek pupils, parents, friends and even some family pets ran, jogged or walked either 2kms, 4kms or 8kms. There were medals and prizes for the category winners. Afterwards food and beverages were enjoyed by the participants and supporters.
Georgie Crede won silver for Kata (set routine) and gold for Kumite (fighting) in the Kimura Shukokai karate regional champs this weekend….the youngest in her group and competing against children 2 years older. Well done to her!

Georgie Credé and Conor Durr with their winning medals at the Kimura Shukokai Dojo Team Kumite Competition that took place on Saturday 16 November. Georgie and Conor were in the winning team and were both unbeaten in their respective fights. Congratulations to them both!
