Over the weekend of 2-3 August 2025, 15 Cannons Creek Independent Primary School pupils in Grade 4-6 participated in the Speech category of the Cape Town Eisteddfod held at the Wave Theatre. The event showcased individual talent through solo poetry recitals and reading. Their preparation and dedication were evident on stage, and they made Cannons Creek incredibly proud. A special congratulations goes to Lilliana Louw and Scarlett Kooyman, who both achieved Cum Laude (96 -100%) for their outstanding poetry recitals. Further to this, the school achieved six Gold awards, and seven Honours awards. “I am very impressed with our pupils.
