CC Father's Day (4)

Cannons celebrates Father’s Day

On 13 June, Cannons Creek Independent School hosted a Special Persons Day for its Pre-Primary dads / guardians, ahead of Father’s Day on 16 June 2025. They got to explore the classroom, complete a jellytot construction (and not eat them!), received special cards / drawings, and played together outside on the playground.

“Spending time at school with my son for Dad’s day was such a special experience. The jellytots and toothpick building activity was a fun and creative way to bond, and it was heartwarming to watch the kids play and interact with so much joy. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of my son’s school day and create these wonderful memories together.” – Denver Vieira, parent.

“It was awesome to share a special hour doing something together, having the kids show us all the fun things they experience at school. Just having a unique time to connect and bind in the children’s school and the efforts made to make the day a fantastic Father’s Day experience was really appreciated. Thank you Team.” – Pete Vink, parent.

“This morning was very special. We had fun building 3D structures with jellytots and toothpicks, and the children gave us personalised cards which were very sweet. I loved that Mila was so focused on building her house out of Lego. My favourite part of the morning was when the children all came out of their classes to find their father/special person… which wasn’t easy because most dads had a black jacket on and all looked the same! It was also good to have coffee and chat to other dads as well. Thanks Cannons for hosting us!” – Richard Ball, parent.

“This morning was really special. It’s not often we get the chance to pause and just take in the joy of being part of our kids’ world like that. I felt really grateful to be there.” – Damion Williams, parent.
