Cape Town International Eisteddfod Success

This year, Cannons Creek once again participated in the Creative Writing section of The Cape Town International Eisteddfod, with Grade 5 pupil Eli Naidoo achieving an outstanding result. At the prestigious prize-giving ceremony held at Westerford High School last weekend, Eli was awarded a medal for first place in his category and a diploma for his poem entitled, “What are Clouds?”

This impressive achievement is a testament to his talent, creativity, and dedication to his craft. We are incredibly proud of Eli and congratulate him on this well-deserved success.

Congratulations also go to our Grade 4 – 6 participants who achieved excellent results. They will be receiving their certificates at a ceremony later this year.

What Are Clouds?

By: Eli Naidoo

The clouds are foam,

in a bubble bath.

They are cotton balls,

on a grey canvas.

They are soft marshmallows,

on a blue paper plate.

The clouds are grey paint strokes,

on an empty piece of paper.
