Last week was World Digital Citizenship Week. We celebrated in the Primary School by further empowering our pupils to become excellent digital citizens!
Our Grade 1-2 pupils created Digital Royalty Crowns, promising to be safe, respectful, and responsible online. They chose powerful words such as ‘Balance’, ‘Safety’, ‘Care’, ‘Brave’, ‘Kind’, and ‘Think’, to guide their reign. Our Grade 3s crafted special glasses – their new tool to defeat the ‘Attention Thieves’. They are learning that they are in charge of their focus, helping them use tech smartly and stay on track with their learning goals.
Our Grade 4-6 pupils dove deep into what it means to grow up in the digital age. They learnt essential concepts like: understanding the attention economy, spotting how images get altered, the critical skill of sifting for sources, the lasting impact of a digital footprint on reputation.
We are so proud of our pupils for taking charge of their digital lives! Let’s continue to foster a culture of mindful, safe, and respectful technology use.
