The benefits of fingerpainting

Did you know that Fingerpainting improves fine motor development? It does so by strengthening the finger and hand muscles… which in turn help when holding and controlling a pencil or crayon when writing. Children also learn about colours, shapes and what happens when you mix colours. The senses of hearing, touching and smelling are also activated to explore and stimulate their creative ability. At Cannons, we focus on having fun while learning, not the end result.
