As part of the Creative Arts syllabus, our Grade 7-9s created imaginative sculptures from natural objects and driftwood. Their brief was to “find” a creature “hidden” in the wood. During IBL (Inquiry-based Learning), the Grade 5s are learning about the South African Coat of Arms and the two San rock art figures representing unity. During Art, they created backgrounds with texture paste on cardboard to resemble rocks, then dry brushed with acrylic paints and painted figures and animals.
The Grade 10 Design pupils had to choose a theme and create an alphabet from objects related to the theme. Can you guess what theme each chose?
Our Grade 3 & 4 pupils have recently been exploring the Autumn theme. They painted, with water colour, squirrels foraging for acorns amongst the mushrooms.
