This term, our High School’s Interact Society carried out a donation drive for the Maitland Cottage Children’s Hospital. Various toiletry items as well as some sweets, were called for. “We want to say a huge thank you to all who donated and made our first initiative of 2023 a success! What a wonderful thing to be able to bless others.” – Molly de Witt, Committee Chairperson.
This hospital is specifically an orthopedic hospital and their facility specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of children with physical disabilities due to disease or accident. The hospital only has 65 beds, however, they have a full operating theatre as well as a club foot clinic, physiotherapy unit and even an in-house school.
