Keira Nivison, Grade 1
How did you feel about the first day of school? Very very excited
What were you most excited about? I was most excited about playing on the jungle gym ‘cos it’s very very high up and I’ve never played in a jungle gym that high.
What do you look forward to? Mostly I’m looking forward to doing the homework
Who do you want to become one day, and how do you want to work towards your dreams? I want to be a teacher like mommy. I’m going to learn lots and do lots.
Gianna du Plessis, Grade 1
How did you feel about the first day of school? Excited and a little bit nervous
What were you most excited about? Learning how to read
What do you look forward to? Learning how to read
Who do you want to become one day, and how do you want to work towards your dreams? A vet because I love animals. I’m going to study a lot.

How did you feel about the first day of school? I felt good because I was starting Grade 1
What were you most excited about? My busy book. We draw pictures and write letters and make the words.
What do you look forward to? Dojo points [Class Dojo is an online behavior management system intended to foster positive student behaviors and classroom culture. Students earn ‘Dojo Points’ based on their classroom conduct].
Who do you want to become one day, and how do you want to work towards your dreams? Game farm person looking after my animals and taking people for game drives.
