On 2 September, our Grade 1-6 pupils took part in an exciting chocolate-making workshop. It certainly was an experience since it was the first time wearing a hair net or apron for some, and even stirring the pot of chocolate being tempered! Lots of fun was had while The Chocolate Factory SA showed our pupils how to melt the cooking chocolate, then spoon it into various flower moulds (in recognition of Spring), and then after the chocolate set they wrapped their creations in colourful foil. To sweeten the deal, they each got a chocolate to taste, and two to take home – we wonder if those ever arrived home!
