We recently held our Grade 7-9 Market Day. The day was filled with fun, including the teachers who volunteered to get sponges thrown at them! Thank you to Ms de Villiers and Mr Samuels for running with this, and well done to our pupils for developing their entrepreneurial skillset. Entrepreneurship is an important section of the EMS syllabus and is taught in Grades 7, 8 and 9. The skill and experience of running a business is practiced in the annual Market Day event where pupils form groups and run their own businesses. Grade 7 groups create businesses selling food items, Grade 8 groups create businesses selling games and services and Grade 9 groups create businesses selling products. Prior to running their businesses, each group has to complete a Business Plan project for their business.
