Our Grade 5s recently completed the Code4Kids ‘My Tribute Project’. Pupils chose a woman who inspires them and coded an HTML Tribute Webpage. Pupils enjoyed reflecting on the amazing female figures who have shaped our lives, while learning the basics of website design and coding.
Some of the women who were researched were JK Rowling (British author, philanthropist, film producer, television producer, and screenwriter), Jane Goodall (English primatologist and anthropologist), Christa McAuliffe (American teacher and astronaut), Taylor Swift (American singer-songwriter), and Mary Anning (English fossil collector, dealer, and paleaontologist).
