Grade 12s complete Chemistry prac

Our Grade 12 Physical Sciences pupils recently completed a Chemistry practical on acids and bases. The practical is for their final SBA mark. The practical consisted of titrating an acid with a known concentration into a base of unknown concentration. An indicator was used in the base. The second the indicator changed colour, we knew that the acid and base had been neutralised. From there, the Grade 12s were able to calculate the unknown concentration of the base. This is a typical practical in first year Chemistry at university so the practice will hold them in good stead.
