As part of the Learn2Lead programme that the Grade 5s complete at Cannons Creek Independent School, they pledged 10 boxes for the Santa Shoebox project. They spent the last few weeks collecting the required items and decorating the boxes. Lessons in organising, asking teachers for contributions, working out the shoebox size, as well as suitable toothpaste for certain age groups, have all been invaluable life lessons. Most importantly is the powerful feeling of giving and contributing to an amazing nationwide project. The boxes were dropped off at Canal Walk for distribution.
