During the WCED Matric 2023 Results Awards Ceremony, it was announced that Cannons Creek Independent High School was awarded first place for small schools (enrolment of fewer than 80 candidates) in the Western Cape for the 2023 NSC exams. Furthermore, the school’s top Matriculant (and 2023 Dux Scholar), Thomas Kabalin, also received an award for excellent achievement across the province (ranked in the Top 40 candidates). “The school prides itself in its academic record and we are pleased that we have consistently been listed amongst top schools in the Western Cape over the past few years. We are especially proud of Thomas and the award he received as well.” – Mr Angus Morton (Executive Principal). The event was held on 30 January 2024 at Western Cape Premier, Alan Winde’s home.
