Congratulations to Cannons Creek Grade 12 pupil, Alexander Botha who recently participated in the Cape Town to St Helena Yacht Race, which boasted a field of 13 yachts and 55 sailors. Alex was part of the crew taking on 1700 nautical miles, on the boat called Tin Tin, where they finished second overall in a time of 8 days, 7 hours and 29 minutes. Alex said, “I had an amazing time. The race was tough as the wind was hectic.”. The race began on 29 December 2022.
