The Foundation Phase visited the Artscape Theatre on 3 May to watch a performance of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf. This musical story has captured the imagination of children for many centuries. Using memorable melodies, The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra introduced audience members to the instruments of the orchestra and taught them to recognize the sounds of the different instruments by matching it to the characters in the story. Our pupils were so excited to travel in a ‘big bus’!
