Cannons Creek Fun Run – a success

Cannons Creek Independent School held its annual Fun Run event on 1 March 2022, catering for its in-house school families and any community members wishing to participate. The event offered 2km / 4km / 8km events to cater for the serious runners, the joggers, the plodders and even those who simply wanted to enjoy a chance to socialise. The school acknowledges and thanks Sportsmans Warehouse for supplying branding, and Tyson Properties for sponsoring the waterpoint. The staff/ parents are also acknowledged for volunteering to be marshalls en route, and for the donation of prizes. The school also collected secondhand sports shoes and clothing, partnering with Benjamin Projects. This initiative is an NPO aiming to make a sustainable and consistent impact in the lives of young people from impoverished communities by engaging with them and their families at an earlier stage of their school lives.
