On Wednesday 3 December 2025, we held our annual Grade 4-6 Celebration of Skills and Growth, where the top achievers in academics, sport and culture were acknowledged. Congratulations to the certificate and trophy winners – all their hard work and resilience paid off. Mr Mike Ford was the Guest of Honour, and the audience enjoyed several entertainment acts – the Grade 6 Marimba Band performed various items, while the Senior Choir performed ‘Big Dreams’, and Atiya Kaplen performed a piano piece. Thank you also to Rae Dorasamy and Scarlett Kooyman who recited poems ‘All my great excuses’, and ‘The Case of the Missing Cookies’.

As we look forward, we continue to nurture curious, confident, and kind learners. By focusing on strong teaching, innovation, and well-being, we help each child feel known, valued, and ready for new challenges. Tonight, as we celebrate achievements, let us also celebrate the sense of belonging that makes Cannons Creek feel like home – a place where every child can shine, contribute, and thrive.
Tonight, not everyone will take home an award, and that’s perfectly alright. Each of us is on our own journey of growth and discovery. What truly matters is that we celebrate one another, honour the effort and progress we’ve made, and carry forward the determination to shine even brighter in the year ahead. Congratulations to all our award winners, and thank you to everyone who supports and enriches the lives of our pupils every day.
