Cannons Carnival – a hit!

On 29 October, Cannons Creek held its annual Carnival, featuring a bumper-turnout. This event has been frozen for two years due to the Pandemic, but came back with all the bells and whistles. There were multiple rides on offer for the kids, as well as Pony Rides, a Petting Zoo, Ghost Tunnel and a Train Ride. The KasKar inter-class racing event involving push karts saw each class dressed in style to a theme and the race was on to achieve the most laps of the course during the allotted 8-minutes. A new addition to the programme was a dance routine from the Dance CO Pinelands, and performances from the School’s various music bands / ensembles. All enjoyed the various food and drink options available, with plenty of shopping opportunities available at the Market Stalls. Also frequenting the event were the Pinelands Neighbourhood Watch and Pinelands CID, as well as La Gratitude gaining support for their annual Duck Race. Some comments received were “The Carnival was fantastic. Well organised, good security, great rides and good stalls” – Caryn Kohler; “A huge huge congratulations to Cannons on a fantastic event! I myself was actually taken aback by the scale of it… I didn’t realise how big it was actually going to be! I thought it was fabulous!” – Ricki-Lee Ball.
