Cannons acknowledges achievers at High School Prize-giving

We held our end of year Prize-giving event on Thursday 5 December 2024, honouring achievers in the Academic, Sporting, Cultural, and Service realms. This event was also the offical farewell to long-serving Mathematics Teacher, Mr Stephen Starck. Previous Principal Mr Mike van Haght shared a special tribute. Thank you to our Head Prefects Reese Rumble and Scott Wilkins for giving us an overview of 2024; and to our Chamber Ensemble for entertaining us.

“After 24 years of teaching at Cannons Creek, my journey has come to an end. I take with me countless memories. I have been privileged to teach students who are friendly, kind, respectful to one another, enthusiastic about learning, motivated and determined to succeed. Thank you all for making my time here so special. To my colleagues, I am deeply grateful for your support over the years. We spend much of our lives at work, and I appreciate each of you for making Cannons Creek a warm, supportive, and welcoming place to be. Thank you. To the parents of Cannons Creek, you have wonderful children. Thank you for your support and kind wishes throughout my time here.” – Stephen Starck.
