Cannons achieves at Science Expo

An incredible well done to our budding Grade 9 Scientists who all achieved at this year’s Eskom Expo Cape Town Regional Science Fair 2023. The event was held at the UCT Sport Centre, 21-23 August 2023.

We entered 10 pupils, responsible for six projects. Overall we achieved 1 Highly Commended, 1 Bronze, and 4 Silver medals. Additionally we achieved Two Best in Category prizes. Well done to all our pupils! Thank you to Mr van Haght (who took over from Mrs Brandt) for the guidance and support.

This year marked the 40th edition of this regional competition, and showcased 231 projects. “Eskom Expo for Young Scientists is an exposition, or science fair, where students have a chance to show others their projects about their own scientific investigations.”
